Shredding Event Wednesday, June 5

Town of Seabrook Island
Wednesday, June 5, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Now is the time to organize your files and discard old, unneeded or duplicate documents. Gone are the days where we have to keep backup pieces of paper. Most information is now available online and is easy to access.

This is also good time to think of going paperless. Many companies such as banks, credit cards and insurance companies offer this service. Not only is it safer, but it can also be helpful when you are away from home. A bonus is using less paper, which is good for the environment!

Since most of your documents probably have personal information, you don’t want to just throw them away. The best way to dispose of these documents is by shredding them.

Turtle Patrol Report for May 1 – 11

The 2024 sea turtle season had an early start with South Carolina’s first nest on April 29 in Garden City by the Garden City Surfside Sea Turtle Guardians and now Seabrook Island has our first nest of the year on May 10!

Sandy MacCoss, Brandy Embrey and Lori Chait called in a classic crawl right into the equestrian access road between Boardwalk 2 and 3. After significant effort to find the nest, 117 eggs were moved to a safer location on North Beach. Sadly, we have no photos of Sandy, Brandy and Lori with the nest.

Do You Know … About Beach Etiquette?

Do you know… the Town of Seabrook Island (TOSI) is responsible for the beach below the high tide line and Seabrook Island Property Owners Association (SIPOA) takes care of the beach above?

SIPOA and TOSI work together to ensure that we keep our beach pristine and safe. It is up to each of us to do our part to support their efforts. The following rules reflect the requirements set forth and supported by both SIPOA and TOSI.
